    Hi Robin:

    Thank your writing about WiZiQ.

I also wanted to highlight some other features on WiZiQ:

    Online Testing Application
    Content Sharing
    Invoicing and Payment System
Student Leads/ Learning Requests for Tutors to Access

All of these features have been developed in house. We allow teachers to invest time and effort as per their convenience and availability in establishing their online teaching brand.

It is exciting time to be in online education space.

Thanks for writing about us again.

    Thanks

    Robin,
That was an interesting list--thanks for introducing me to some new sites and marketplaces. However, I was a bit surprised by the inclusion of xlingo, considering that's not really a marketplace, its more of a language exchange community. (Marketplace to me implies the transacting of money or at the very least bartering of goods or services between individuals.)

A much more comprehensive marketplace for the paid teaching of foreign languages is www.italki.com which recently released its platform. It is built on the existing language exchange community. Language learners can find both professional teachers and tutors of more than 100 languages and sign up for a lesson. The paid-in money is kept secure to ensure both parties have completed the session, then the money is released to the teacher. italki members can used the built in voice and text chat function or switch to a 3rd party client. Teachers set their own rate and are encouraged to create courses around different aspects of the language they teach. User ratings help the community see which teachers are most popular. italki.com is the largest language learning community with a Teaching/Learning Marketplace.

Thank you for your kind feedback and comments. You are probably right about xlingo and it was probably not the best idea to include it in this list. We found it had some novel ideas and preferred not to drop it, but your point is definitely right.

Thanks also for sharing info about Italki, which I didn't know about.
