As you know i think a lot of people use the sources that you mentioned as inspiration and for ideas. Most bloggers buy royalty free images for a few dollars to really drive home a point with quality visuals.

We wrote about how to find images for your blog on the Cutcaster blog.
http://blog.cutcaster.com/2...

Hope you find some other helpful points there.

Also where did you come up with the word Clack? hahah.

Re: How To Select Images To Illustrate Your Articles

Imagery is a powerful metasearch engine for photos:
http://fredericmartin.typep...

Re: How To Select Images To Illustrate Your Articles

Generally you should, but it can get complicated.

My suggestion is:

a) Always provide explicit credit and link back to the source

b) DO NOT link to the original image but save and upload your selected image
to your own server

c) Avoid, where possible copyrighted from major traditional media outlets

Re: How To Select Images To Illustrate Your Articles

Thanks for the tips. I have yet to integrate images into my blog but I plan on it.

I have a question. Should I have to worry about obtaining permissions when using sites like Google Images?
