Robin Good's Master New Media: Embed Any Video Or HTML Code Into Your Wordpress Blog Site: EmbedIt Plugin

  • alex · 1 year ago
Great! Grande ! This plugin works perfectly. I had problems embedding videos from video sharing websites different from youtube because sometimes it seems they mess up my blog template. Since now I'll use just this one to embed videos (and maybe I'll try it for something esle as well)... thanx

Another option is to use the Blogdesk software where embedding code is piece of cake - and it does not get distorted. I've been using it for a long time now and it's great.

A very useful tool for wordpress, it goes a long way to show the many resources at Robin Good University geared to helping independent publishers and bloggers.

Great post, good plug in. Thanks for sharing. FYI, the pictures for steps 2 and 3 seem to be reversed.

Thanks for offering the plug in - yours is the only relevant page Google gave for "video window at wordpress blog plug in" :)

Make sure you're NOT using square brackets when writing the Custom field name.
Square brackets are only required in the post editing area. Have a look at the screenshots. Have fun!

    Perfect !
Works like a charm if you follow the instructions.
    Smartest WP plugin so far.

Tot un Roman trebuia sa ma scoata din impas.

Thank you so, so much for this plugin!
For the last three or four days, I had been trying to find a way to integrate Hotpotatoes (to make quizzes and exams) into Wordpress.
    Your plugin did it!!
    Thanks again for sharing...

this works great, but i want to embed more than 9 code snippets. how can i do that? I'd like to be able to embed an UNLIMITED number of code snippets per page.

You have saved my business! I kept postponing the launch of my word press website, because all my custom HTML codes kept disappearing! I'd spend hours on the thing and the next day, my images were all over the place! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was contemplating starting over with a whole new template until I saw this site. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Matteo, you have helped me immensely.....unlike other embedding plug ins, yours shows that you simply get it! It was simple and took less than 4 minutes as advertised! All others broke my code!

I read your post today and was excited. I then went to my 2.7.1 Wordpress.org blog to follow your instructions. Your explanation was clear. So I got right to work. Everything was going along just fine, until I got to the part that said Create a custom field. The custom field on my screen did not look like yours. Nor could I "click" on anything to make it look like yours. The labels in my custom field are Name and Value; their is no Key, like in your example. Also when I hover over the label "Custom Field" my mouse pointer changes to perpendicular lines with arrows at each end; when I hover over the Name and Value labels, the mouse pointer looks like an "I". What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Skycloud,
WP 2.7 changed a bit the user interface of the custom fields feature but everything works pretty much the same - scroll down to the custom fields and follow me: just click on the blue "Enter new" link, write HTML1 in the "Name" field, enter the html code in the "Value" field, and click the "Add custom field" button.
