Hey there thanks! You answered within the hour as you did in previous questions. I am beginning to get the feel of this disqus thing! I was looking for an app that would essentially connect me in real time with my site visitors and this disqus commenting thing seems to fit it right (though it is not promoted that way, perhaps disqus should).

However, for non-techies I find manually posting the disqus comment box inconvenient every time I publish a blog (they require 2 separate codes or I just don't understand the gobbledygook). Implementing disqus like how you are doing it is too techie for me so I use their single code which "POST COMMENTS" does not come out prominently in my web "real estate".

Unfortunately also, your webinar would be at 1am Sat in my time zone. Do you have podcasts of those; and perhaps a shout box where we could just asynchronously put in our questions?

Anyways, thanks for your comments. You confirmed my apprehensions about moving to a top domain.

unfortunately I have too little info to provide you with sound advice.

In fact, I personally do not see any good reason to move to a top domain.
If you do, yes, you need to redirect all of your in-bound links to the new
URLs, and this, if you have lots of them, may not be worth your while.

Hi there again! By the way, you might want to check your site on Firefox as in my browser (I don't know if it is just mine) your columns overlap. So, I transferred to google chrome and it is working fine there. But, I had to transfer back to firefox because my disqus is in firefox. Hey, I noticed your disqus is on iframe already.

Anyways, thanks for the article. I would definitely go back and read through all the monetization and business model articles you outlined.

I do have (perhaps off tangent) a question which is somewhat related. I a running a social network that I would want to sustain it on bootstrap or if possible, zero cost. That means, I am not using a top domain. Although I am not averse to getting one, I am worried that I will have to trace back and redo all the links I manually put all over the net for our social network (currently on subdomain). Just thinking about retracing my steps sucks!

Do I have to retrace my links if I get a top domain (as it would be a different URL already, no?) OR should I just upgrade my web subscription services to premium without getting a top domain? That is, upgrading my web subscription to premium allows me more options on how to serve ads already.

Besides, it is a niche social network for business startups gathering FREE memberships by geotargeted referral. We don't have anyone coming in from the web and that might not be a priority except to bring in angel investors in the midterm - which we are now doing through networking with relevant sites like LinkedIn, etc. already. We also conjecture, angel investors are sought out. They certainly are not people soliciting business by joining sites, no?

Maybe this question could be one article for people like me?
